Ned A. PEQUIGNOT, 80, retired farmer living three and a half miles southeast of Fairfield, died at 2:15 a.m. today at the Jefferson County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. C.P. Madsen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Prayers for a Christian Wake will be recited Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home.
PEQUIGNOT was born June 5, 1887 in Jefferson County, the son of Alphonso (sic. Alphonse) and Julia NADY PEQUIGNOT. He was married Feb. 13, 1914 to Lorene HUMPHREYS who died July 24, 1932. On March 10, 1947 he was married to Mabel HUMPHREYS NORTHCUTT (sic. Lorene and Mabel were sisters), who survives.
Also surviving are four step-children, Mrs. Barbara PAXSON, Cudahy, Calif.; Mrs. Dolores BROCKROGGE, Sylvis, Ill.; Mrs. Jacqueline SINGER, Stockport; and Mrs. Evangeline HOOTMAN, El Paso, Tex.; two brothers, L.A. PEQUIGNOT, Fairfield, and Don PEQUIGNOT, Miami Beach, Fla.; and two sisters, Leona PEQUIGNOT of California and Mrs. Harriett REISTE, Sutherland, Iowa.
PEQUIGNOT was a member of St. Mary Church. One son, one daughter, three sisters and two brothers are deceased.
