Clarence C. DANA, 82, 408 N. Main, died at 12:50 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital.
Last rites will be Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Clarence C. DANA was born March 25, 1888 (sic. he was a twin of Earl), at the home of his parents four miles north of Fairifeld. He was the son of George L. and Hattie WOLF DANA. He was reared and educated in Fairfield and spent his entire life in this community except two years in Minnesota.
A retired farmer, he moved to Fairfield in February, 1965, from his farm near Pleasant Plain.
His marriage to Sylvia T. BRAY took place Sept. 24, 1912, at the home of the bride's parents near Veo. DANA was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
In addition to his widow he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Edith Mae MILLARD, Ottumwa; two grandsons and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, three sisters and two brothers.

In The District Court Of The State Of Iowa In And For Jefferson County
In The Matter Of The Estate Of Clarence C. DANA, Deceased.
To All Persons Interested In The Estate Of Clarence C. DANA, Deceased:
You are hereby notified that on the 24th day of February, 1971, the last Will and Testament of Clarence C. DANA, deceased bearing date of the 2nd day of May, 1967, was admitted to probate in the above named Court and that Sylvia T. DANA was appointed executor of said estate.
Notice is further given that any action to set aside said Will must be brought in the District Court of said County within one year from the date of the second publication of this notice, or thereafter be forever barred.
Notice is further given that all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned, and creditors having claims against said estate shall file them with the Clerk of the above named District Court, as provided by law, duly authenticated, for allowance; and unless so filed within six months from the second publication of this notice (unless otherwise allowed or paid) such claim shall thereafter be forever barred.
