Death Takes J. DAGGETT

Jesse H. DAGGETT (sic. Jesse Hubert DAGGETT, Jr.), 71, native of Richland, died at 1:40 a.m. today at the Nelson Nursing Home where he had been a patient for the past few weeks. His home was at 402 W. Broadway.

The body is at the Weston Behner Funeral Home where last rites are pending.

Jesse H. DAGGETT was born Dec. 28, 1904, at Richland. He was the son of Jesse H. and Gertrude ROBINSON DAGGETT.

His marriage to Elizabeth HUMPHREYS took place Nov. 25, 1925 (sic. her 1974 obituary gives the date as Nov. 14, 1925), at Detroit where they spent most of their married life. She died March 15, 1974. They were the parents of two sons and a daughter, all deceased.

DAGGETT is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Floyd BARNES, Oskaloosa, and Mrs. Herbert PEARSON (sic. noted as PIERSON in the 1945 obituary of his mother, Gertrude Luticia ROBINSON DAGGETT), Tazewell, Tenn.; two brothers, Willard M. DAGGETT who resides in California, and James Emmert DAGGETT, Deltona, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother.

DAGGETT Rites On Thursday

Services will be held Thursday for Jesse H. DAGGETT, 71, who died Monday morning at the Nelson Nursing Home.

The services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with Dr. John Dilley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

DAGGETT was born Dec. 28, 1904, at Richland.
