MRS. DAGGETT DIES SUDDENLY

Mrs. Gertrude DAGGETT, 76, passed away suddenly yesterday morning at her home 203 West Jefferson St.

Christian Science services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday from the Hoskins Funeral home with Mrs. Walter Heinemann in charge. Burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. DAGGETT was born November 6, 1868 in Brighton (sic. maiden name ROBINSON) and was married to Jesse H. DAGGETT in March, 1896 who preceded her in death November 26, 1919. She had resided in Fairfield since 1910, moving here from Richland.

Survivors are the following children: Mrs. F. E. BARNES of Oskaloosa; Willard M. of Madison, Wisconsin; Leslie of Seattle, Washington; J. Emmert of Fairfield; J.H. DAGGETT, Jr., of Detroit; Mrs. Herbert PIERSON of Cedar Rapids; fifteen grandchildren; two brothers: W. J. ROBINSON of Fairfield and Charles of Brighton; four sisters: Mrs. Avery HORTON of Brighton; Mrs. Allie INGHAM and Agnes McCLELLAND, both of Fresno, California and Mrs. Minnie MADDEN of Norton, Kansas.

...--Mrs. Carrie BAKER, 203 West Jefferson St., and her granddaughter, Louise DAGGETT, high school senior, daughter of the Emmert DAGGETs, 608 S. 2nd., returned yesterday from Elmwood, Park, Ill. (sic - Elmwood Park, IL), Chicago suburb, where they had spent the past two weeks with Mrs. BAKER's son, Mr. and Mrs. Frank BAKER. Their stay was cut somewhat short so that Louise might attend the funeral of her grandmother, Mrs. Gertrude DAGGETT, held this morning at the Hoskins Funeral Home.

--Mr. and Mrs. Floyd E. BARNES and children Alice, Betty Jane and John Robert of Oskaloosa, Mr. and MRs. Herbert PEARSON, Barbara and Nancy of Cedar Rapids, Willard DAGGETT of Madison, Wis., and Junior of Detroit Mich., are in the city called here by the death of their mother, Mrs. Gertrude DAGGETT. Another son, Leslie, of Seattle, Wash., was unable to come. A grandson, Cpl. Jimmie DAGGETT has arrived from the army air base at Salina, Kansas to attend both the funeral of Mrs. DAGGETT and that of his uncle William DuBOIS.

FAMILY RANGES IN AGE FROM SEVENTY TO 95

George ROBINSON, 104½ W. Adams quietly celebrated his eighty-third birthday Sautrday (sic). At that time he had one brother and five sisters living, ranging in age from seventy to ninety-five. One sister, Mrs. Gertrude DAGGETT has passed away since.

--Relatives from Brighton attending the funeral of Mrs. Gertrude DAGGETT yesterday were: Mr. and Mrs. Willis HORTON, Mr. and Mrs. Leland HORTON, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth DONOVAN, Miss Nyle DONOVAN, Mrs. Avery HORTON, Charley ROBINSON and sons, Donald and Dwight, and daughter Mabel and Mrs. Arthur RICH.

NEPHEWS FROM BRIGHTON WERE AMONG PALLBEARERS

Leland HORTON and Willis HORTON and Donald and Dwight ROBINSON all of Brighton were pallbearers at the last rites held for their aunt, Mrs. Gertrude DAGGETT. Other pallbearers were Walter Hunt and C. I. Thoma of this city.

Additional out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Earl DAGGETT of Ottumwa, cousins of Mrs. DAGGETT.
