Services for Harold F. McINTIRE, 68, will be Monday, Aug. 1, at the Raymond Funeral Home.
They will be at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. George Koch and the Rev. D.O. Van Dyne officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Harold F. McINTIRE, a native of Fairfield, died at 12:10 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson County Hospital. He had been in failing health for some time.
He was born Jan. 5, 1909, the son of Benjamin Franklin and Millie WARD McINTIRE.
He was reared and educated in Fairfield and lived his entire life in this community. McINTIRE was employed at the Dexter Co. foundry for 38 years.
His marriage to Elsie OLSON took place Jan. 16, 1929, at the Free Methodist Parsonage in Fairfield.
In addition to his widow he is survived by three sons, Harold Jr., Des Moines; Dale, Tampa, Fla., Steven, Fairfield. Also six daughters, Arlene HAIFLEY, Fairfield; Carol MYERS, Homestead; Marilyn PANE, Fairfield; Mary Helen VORWERK, Burlington; Janet DICKEY, Packwood; and Pam CUBBAGE, Danville.
Other survivors include 25 grandchildren; three brothers, John and Wayne McINTIRE, Fairfield, and Glen McINTIRE, Burbank, Calif. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
