Services for Early Jefferson County Teacher Is Today
Charles GREEN, of near Fairfield, recently received word of the death of his sister, Mrs. Scott CHANDLER formerly Adda GREEN of Fairfield. Mrs. CHANDLER, who was 82 years old, died at Stillwater, Oklahoma. Mr. GREEN left Saturday for Stillwater to attend the funeral today. Mrs. Laura CLARK, of near Fairfield is also a sister, but as she is nearly 90 years old, is unable to make the trip. Another brother Perry also lives at Mankato, Kans.
Mrs. CHANDLER had been an invalid for 15 years. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago, and she is survived by a daughter, Emma. One son Ferd (sic. Fred) also died several years ago.
Mrs. CHANDLER will be remembered among older people of the vicinity northeast of Fairfield. She was a successful and well known school teacher of the 80's in this county.
