CHARLES SCOTT CHANDLER
Charles Scott CHANDLER, 68, died Saturday afternoon, October 23, 1926 at his home, 617 Duck street, Stillwater, Ok. Although he had been ill about a month and had been confined to his home, his death was unexpected, the result of a heart attack as he sat in a chair.
Funeral services were held at the family home at 3 oclock Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Allen S. Davis, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Burial was in Fair Lawn Cemetery.
The decedent was born April 9, 1858, in Fairfield, Iowa. He was married in Fairfield to Miss Adda C. GREEN in 1883. They moved to Oklahoma in 1903, settling in Stillwater in the home at 617 Duck street.
Mr. CHANDLER is survived by his widow, by his daughter, Miss Emma A CHANDLER, one sister, Mrs. Iowa HOOPES, of Fairfield, Iowa, and by five nephews and nieces. A son, Fred Wilber, died in 1903.
Mr. CHANDLER was a member of the Presbyterian Church. In the last few years he has operated Chandler lake, southeast of Stillwater. ((sic. this obit evidently originally published in the Stillwater (Okla.) Gazette.))
