Opal GRAHAM, 68, died Friday morning at her home near Abingdon.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with Dean Cary officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery.
Opal GRAHAM was born June 18, 1914, in Mahaska County. She was the daughter of Newton and Cena ALEXANDER McBURNEY. the family moved to Jefferson County near Packwood in 1921.
She had been a resident of the Packwood and Abingdon Communities for the past 61 years, and was educated in the Jefferson County Schools.
She was married Aug. 1, 1931, to Orville F. GRAHAM at Kirksville, Mo. He preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1979.
They farmed most of their lives and she served as cook at Parsons College for seven years. Mrs. GRAHAM was a member of the Abingdon Dorcus Club and a member of the Fairfield Keep Young Club.
Survivors include a son, Orville GRAHAM, Abingdon; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. GRAHAM was preceded in death by a son who died in infancy, her parents and two sisters.

Note: The infant son was named Gerald D. and died in 1933; he was buried in Forrest Cemetery a few miles distant from Packwood Cemetery. Orville and Opal are buried in Packwood Cemetery, in the Southwest section.
