Erma STEELE rites

Erma STEELE, 96, died at 7:08 p.m. Thursday at Jefferson County Hospital. She had lived in the hospital's long term care for five years.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Packwood Christian Church with the Rev. Leigh Olson officiating. Burial will be in Packwood Cemetery. Friends may call as they desire at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont. A memorial has been established to Packwood Christian Church.

Mrs. STEELE was born Feb. 28, 1891 near Packwood, the daughter of Joseph and Marinda Lutisha WEBB NELSON. She spent most of her life in the Packwood-Linby area and was a member of Packwood Christian Church. She married Frank P. STEELE on Jan. 12, 1910. He died Nov. 12, 1957.

Surviving are a son, William, Lockridge; a daughter, Marjorie BENNETT; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. An infant granddaughter, three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
