Thelma M. SMITH

LIBERTYVILLE -- Thelma M. SMITH, 82, died at 5:35 a.m. today, May 14, 1992, at Parkview Care Center.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Thomas Clark officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery at Libertyville. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Fairfield Public Library.

Mrs. SMITH was born Oct. 24, 1909 in Eldon, the daughter of John and Mable MOORE HUFFMAN. She lived in Davis County until moving to Libertyville, where she graduated from high school. She married Orville H. SMITH on Oct. 26, 1928, in Ottumwa. She was a homemaker and attended Faith United Methodist Church in Libertyville.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Patricia FIEDLER of Fairfield; a grandson; two sisters, Dorothy McCLEARY and Wilda FERREL, both of Fairfield and a brother, Keith HUFFMAN of Ottumwa. Two brothers, Hollis and Donald, preceded her in death.
