Frank J. RIZOR

Frank J. RIZOR, 70, 1202 S. Second St., died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 1990, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 tonight at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to First Presbyterian Church and the American Heart Association.

RIZOR was born Aug. 26, 1920, in Racine, Wis., the son of Frank R. and Dollie HUFFMAN RIZOR. He married Velma M. BLACK Aug. 28, 1943, in Kelso, Wash. A lifelong resident of the Fairfield community, he was a retired city letter carrier and served as police chief of Fairfield for four years before joining the post office force. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, having served as a ruling elder and deacon, a member of Jefferson County Lodge No. 4 IOOF and the Allen Jewett American Legion Post No. 48.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Eugene of Silver Spring, Mo., Preston of Milwaukee, Duane of Chantilly, Va.; two daughters, Marcia GRAY of Elgin, Okla., Elaine LAWRENCE of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Frances RINDERKNECHT of Cedar Rapids, Bonnie WIENER of Rock Island, Ill., and Donna MACY of Fairfield. His parents preceded him in death.
