Donald GRIMES rite Monday

The funeral service for Donald R. GRIMES, lifelong resident of Packwood, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Cary officiating.

GRMES, 75, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 1988.

Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from from 3:30-7 p.m. Sunday. Memorials have been established to the Packwood Christian Church or the Packwood Community Building.

GRIMES was born June 27, 1913, in Libertyville, the son of George Lee and Myrtle Ann BRADFORD GRIMES. He married Edrith RUGGLES Nov. 29, 1934, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua.

GRIMES owned and operated locker plants, a furniture and appliance store and had retired from farming.

He was a member of the Packwood Christian Church, charter member of the Packwood Lions Club, Fairfield Elks Lodge No. 1192 and was a Packwood City Council member for several years.

GRIMES is survived by his wife Edrith and a son and daughter-in-law, Donovan and Karen GRIMES, Phoenix, Ariz., and a daughter and son-in-law, Connie Lou and Louis THOMA, Kankakee, Ill.

Also surviving are four grandchildren, one great-grandson and three sisters, Maxiene KANN, Fairfield; Marjorie SANDERS, Springdale, Ark.; and Norma Lee SIMMONS, Clearwater, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Dorothy and Velma, and infant twin brothers.
