Harry R. JAMESON

Harry R. JAMESON, 87, of Burlington, died at 3:04 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Great River Medical Center-Klein Unit in West Burlington.

A graveside memorial service and inurnment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Cemetery, rural West Burlington. According to Mr. JAMESON's wishes, the body has been cremated.

Mr. JAMESON was born Feb. 26, 1924, the son of Harry C. and Sarah M. HEWITT JAMESON. He married Iola Lavonne WHITE July 19, 1980. She died Nov. 12, 2006.

Mr. JAMESON was a molder for Dexter Company of Fairfield for 37 years. He retired in 1993.

Mr. JAMESON was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II from 1941-1946.

He enjoyed putting together puzzles.

Survivors include one son, Ronald JAMESON of Burlington; one stepson, Tom JAMESON of Burlington; one stepdaughter, Joanne WALKER and husband Evan of Danville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert JAMESON of Eugene, Ore., and Rex JAMESON of Burlington; and one sister, Lemira COLLETT of Williamsburg.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
