Glen Richard PREVETT

Glen Richard PREVETT, 61, of Stockport, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A celebration of Mr. PREVETT's life will be from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Stockport Legion Hall in Stockport.

Memorials may be sent to the family at P.O. Box 23, Stockport 52651.

Mr. PREVETT was born July 19, 1949, in Fairfield, the son of Theodore Edward and Laura Marie MOORE PREVETT. He married Wilda KEMPF March 24, 2000, in Fairfield.

Mr. PREVETT grew up in Fairfield and lived in Ottumwa and Stockport. He was self-employed and had worked at American Bottling and Roush Tree Service. He also had worked in construction.

Mr. PREVETT enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, gardening and being with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Glen PREVETT Jr. and wife Deana of Ottumwa, Gerald PREVETT and wife Micki of Jacksonville, Ill., Josh GROVE and wife Tiffany of Ottumwa and Ben GROVE and wife Kim of Eldon; one brother, Kenneth PREVETT of Stockport; five sisters, Kathryn WARD of Rockaway Beach, Mo., Sharon KOCH and Esther GOTTSCHALK, both of Fairfield, Mary ANDERSON of Keosauqua and Violet OSWALT of High Amana; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brad PREVETT; one daughter, Tina in infancy; and four brothers, George, Clinton, Ted Jr. and Virgil in infancy.
