Barbara 'Bobby' Joan SELL

Barbara "Bobby" Joan SELL, 73, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Barbara "Bobby" SELL family. Cards and memorials may be sent to 418 Railroad St., Wayland 52654.

Mrs. SELL was born June 9, 1937, in Fairfield, the daughter of Paul and Georgia MILES. She married Clell SELL March 27, 1954. He died in June 1991. She lived with Robert SCOTTON since 1970.

Mrs. SELL lived most of her life in Jefferson County and in Oklahoma. She had been a production worker at Universal Producing and Fairfield Glove Company.

Mrs. SELL collected dolls and pigs and enjoyed crossword puzzles and camping.

Survivors include five children: Lee Ann SELL of Fairfield, Jeff SELL of Wayland, Mona WOLFBRANDT of Fairfield, Steven SCOTTON of Davenport and Robert SCOTTON of Fort Wayne, Ind.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four siblings: Richard HAGANS of Brighton and Jack HAGANS, Carol BRANSETTER and Patty HECKETHORN, all of Fairfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings: Dixie HAGANS, Violet SCOTTON, Shirley WOLVERTON, Hazel HOMES and Harold HAGANS; and one granddaughter.

Mrs. SELL was born June 9, 1937, in Fairfield, the daughter of Paul HAGANS and Georgia MILES.

Incorrect information regarding Mr. HAGANS' name was provided to The Ledger for the full obituary that appeared in Thursday's paper.
