Darlene BROWN

Darlene BROWN, 64, of Farmington, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at home.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Stockport Christian Church, with the Rev. John Griffith officiating.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Iowa Hospice or Farmington First Responders. Cards and memorials may be sent to P.O. Box 66, Farmington 52626.

Mrs. BROWN was born Oct. 4, 1946, in Keosauqua, the daughter of Thomas and Edna WILEY BARTHOLOMEW. She married Kermit BROWN July 10, 1966, in Stockport.

Mrs. BROWN graduated from Van Buren High School in 1965. She was a production worker at Eagle Plastics for 10 years.

Mrs. BROWN enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching birds.

Survivors include her husband; two children: Rhonda BEST and husband Mike and Mikki BALMER and husband Chris, all of Keosauqua; three grandchildren; and 10 siblings: Judy NEWLON of Keosauqua, Tom BARTHOLOMEW of Keosauqua, Calvin BARTHOLOMEW of Milton, Gary BARTHOLOMEW of Stockport, Rita REID of Stockport, Connie DENISON of Keosauqua, Charles BARTHOLOMEW of Iowa City, Nancy BARTHOLOMEW of Stockport, Dale BARTHOLOMEW of Ollie and Susan PARISH of Keosauqua.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter: Rebecca Lynn BROWN.
