Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth MOORHEAD died at the home of her son, Joseph MOORHEAD, in Elwood City, Penn.... Catherine Elizabeth GEORGE was born at George's Station, Westmoreland County, Penn. Oct. 26, 1836, eldest of a family of six children of the parental home. Aug. 21, 1860, married Thomas Pollock MOORHEAD. The predominant years of their married life included those lived respectively in native county and state, then others on a farm in Henry County, Iowa, as well as four years of her husband's Government Indian Service at White Rocks, Utah, whence in 1896 their home was taken up permanently at Fairfield, Iowa, where the husband departed this life in October 1913 (sic - 1912). Six children, all sons, were born.... Of these, three survive: Joseph of Elwood City, Penn.; Edward Steck MOORHEAD of Denver, Col., and James P. of this city. .... Presbyterian Church. Remains will arrive in Fairfield Wednesday afternoon April 19, 1916.... Interment in the family Lot in Evergreen Cemetery.
