The friends and family of Lisa ROBB are sad to announce her passing at home in January due to an undetected abscess. Lisa was a creative, sweet, soul who was loved by all who knew her.
Lisa Christine MADDOX was born on December 27th, 1956, in Columbus, Ohio, where she grew up and graduated from Bexly High School in 1973. Her favorite sport was competitive long-distance swimming. In her first competition at age 4, she successfully swam across a lake while her swim teacher followed in a row boat. Lisa later tried out for the Junior Olympics but when she got to the finals, a tornado swept through the town canceling the competition.
After high school, Lisa moved to the bay area in California with her brother Steven. She then learned T.M. (sic - Transcendental Meditation) and traveled overseas to become a TM teacher. She married Randy ROBB on December 28th, 1982 in San Francisco. They lived in Berkeley California where their first daughter Angelica (Angel) was born. The ROBBs moved to Washington, D.C., where their second child Marisa was born. A few years later they finally put down roots in Fairfield which they loved for its small town community feel, the Maharishi School, and its safe environment to raise children.
Lisa's family was the most important thing in her life and she loved them deeply. She was also a talented seamstress and her home was always filled with art and sewing projects plus lots of laughter. Lisa graduated magna cum laude from MIU on June 29th, 1995.
Lisa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Randy. She is survived by her two wonderful daughters, Angelica and Marisa ROBB, her mother, Shirley WISCHMEIER and her 2 brothers, Steve and Rick MADDOX.
There will be a celebration of Lisa's life on March 17th at 7:00 p.m. at Morning Star studio. Please join us for a potluck dinner. Call Kathy at 919-3919 to coordinate food or to make donations to the family.
