OBITUARY.

Fairfield, Iowa, May 21, 1900. A tribute to my friend and brother, Jacob MYERS, who was born in Columbiana County, Ohio, 1831, came to Jefferson County, Iowa, in 1848 and was married to Catherine HIRSHBERGER in 1853, and to them were born three children, all boys. In 1869 he sold his farm in Lower Richwoods and went to Kansas, settling in Nemaha County near Centralia.... died Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. of heart failure.... Leaves wife and two sons to mourn his departure.

PLEASANT PLAIN. Wm. VOGEL received word of the death of his half brother in Centralia, Kansas, last Saturday. His name is Jacob MYERS, and is well known in Walnut Township, where he formerly resided....
