DEATH OF WILLIAM Y. HEAD

Information has reached us of the death of Mr. William Y. HEAD, which occurred Tuesday, April 26, 1887, at his home near Dublin, Alameda County, Calif., after a long illness. Mr. HEAD was well known to our earlier citizens. He came to Fairfield in the summer of 1846, and aided A. R. Sparks in the publication of the "Sentinel". In 1851 (sic - Oct. 28, 1852, per Jefferson County Marriage Records) he was married to Miss Pheraby PATRICK and they immediately started for California, where they have since resided. Mr. HEAD was for many years engaged in the publication of newspapers in that state. He leaves a wife and six children....
