LUCINDA HENDERSON CURRAY.

Lucinda HENDERSON was born in Wayne County, Indiana, June 2, 1830. She departed from this life March 14, 1913, at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 12 days.

She came to Ft. Madison, Iowa with her parents when she was eight years old. About a year later they came on to Jefferson County as pioneers where they have always resided. She was united in marriage to William CURRAY November 24 1853. He passed away August 26, 1904. Nine children were born to this union, six of whom are still living, namely: Jackson, Joseph, Thomas, Miss Mary L. CURRAY, Mrs. Frank WHITMORE and Mrs. Joseph HUPP. All were here except Joseph who was in California and did not receive word of her sickness and death until too late to reach here before interment was made. Besides those she leaves eighteen grandchildren and one sister, Sarah BAIRD, to mourn the loss of a loving mother, grandmother and sister.... Interment in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
