"Robert Whitacre was born in Lycoming Co., Pa. Mar. 6 1832, son of Joseph and Hannah Whitacre, and died Jan. 10 1902 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. His parents went to Ohio in 1847 and moved to Iowa in 1852 and settled on what is still known as the old Whitacre place 1 1/2 miles west of Brighton. . . . .Leaves wife and one daughter. . . . .five brothers and two sisters: Mrs. Mercy Vinton and Mrs. Mary Marcy of Fairfield. M. E. Church. Buried at Cedar Falls. . . . ."
