"Mrs. Lavern Sinn, 79, Pleasant Plain, died Sun. at 2:15 a.m. at the Nelson Nursing Home. . . . .Behner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery. The former Lula Smith, born Aug. 19, 1888 in Wapello County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chapman Smith. She was married to Lavern Sinn Oct. 6, 1962. Surviving are husband; one son, Austin Craig, Davenport; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Sinn spent most of her life in the Mt. Pleasant area. She had been a resident of Pleasant Plain for five years. One sister and one son preceded her in death."
