Roy TYGRET Dies In Iowa City; Rites Tuesday

Roy TYGRET, 67, wellknown retired post office employe (sic), died at 7:45 p.m. Friday at Veterans hospital in Iowa City where he had been a patient for about two weeks.

Funeral services will be held at the Weston Behner funeral home Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. E. E. Neiderhuth of Stockport officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

James Roy TYGRET was born May 28, 1892, at Canton, Ill., the son of James and Mary GREEN TYGRET. He was married to Mary Velma WELSH March 27, 1920. He had lived in this community for over 50 years, 34 years as a post office employe (sic) and 16 years as a farmer. He was a member of the Methodist church; Allen Jewett Post 47 of the American Legion post (sic), and was a past president of the Jefferson County Saddle club in which he took active part.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, James of Fullerton, Calif., and William, Iowa City; six grandchildren and three brothers, Carl, Fairfield; Elmer, Decatur, Ill., and Lester of Moline, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
