LOCAL WOMAN DIES TODAY

Mrs. Orville TRACY, 51, native of Jefferson county, passed away this morning at 3:20 a.m. at her home, 52 East Filmore street. She had been in failing health four months and seriously ill the past month.

Last rites will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. E. A. Piper in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Martha Helen TRACY was born June 27, 1895, in Jefferson ocunty (sic), the daughter of Charles P. and Christina ANDERSON NELSON. She married Mr. TRACY in October, 1935.

Mrs. TRACY was a member of the First Lutheran church, O.E.S., and the White Shrine.

She is survived by her husband and mother, Mrs. C. P. NELSON, Fairfield. Five brothers also survive. They are Albert E., Long Beach; Ralph D., Muscatine; Roy N, Froid, Montana; Vern S. and Carl, both of Fairfield.

Note: Her husband Orville married a second time, to Sophia ZAHARRIS. He died in 1957 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery with both his wives, in Lot 2nd.134.
