Friday, March 12, 1943ONE YEAR OLD CHILD DIES AT HOSPITAL
Karlene Kay RIGGS had been in ill health for past two months
Karlene Kay RIGGS, one year old daughter of Capt. Wray RIGGS and Mrs. RIGGS of 302 East Burlington street passed away at the Jefferson county hospital today at noon. She had been in poor health for the past two months but her death was considered sudden.
The child was born February 23, 1942. The father, Capt. RIGGS, is with the U. S. Army somewhere in North Africa.
She is survived by her parents, two brothers, Marvin and Richard, both at home, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Carrie CULP, and paternal grandfather, Carl RIGGS.
The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where funeral arrangements are pending.
