Thomas J. PECK, life-time resident of Jefferson county and a long-time Fairfield factory employee, passed away at 2:15 a.m. today at the Jefferson county hospital.
He had been ill since May 9 and entered the hospital August 18th.
Last rites will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. Francis Henricksen in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Thomas J. PECK, 60, was born August 4, 1900, at Germanville, the son of Thomas and Clara GELSKI PECK. He was reared and educated in the Germanville community, and married Oct. 29, 1928, to Frieda GIESE.
He had lived in Jefferson county all of his life and in Fairfield for the past 37 years. He had been employed at the Philco-Dexter plant for 35 years.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Harold PECK, Fairfield; Orville PECK, at home; and a daughter, Marilyn, also at home; along with three grandchildren.
Other survivors include three half-brothers, Donald KURTZ, Davenport; John KURTZ, Brighton; Raymond KURTZ, Brighton; also four half-sisters, Mrs. Harry OTT, Davenport; Mrs. Leonard SHUPPY, Brighton; Mrs. Lester WEENIKE, Stockport; and two step-brothers, Myron KURTZ, Brighton; and Gerald KURTZ, Packwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-sister.

Note: Thomas’ mother, Clara F. GELSKI PECK, married John KURTZ after her husband (also Thomas J. PECK) died in 1900. Although Thomas is survived by four half-sisters, only three are mentioned here; the fourth would be Mrs. Herbert OTT of Davenport. Frieda died in 1965 and is buried with Thomas in Lot 2nd.076½.
