Mrs. PECK, 55, Taken In Death

Mrs. Thomas PECK, native of Jefferson county, died this morning at the Jefferson county hospital. She had been in failing health the past three months and seriously ill the past week.

Last rites will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Raymond funeral home with the Rev. James W. Dendler in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Frieda GIESE PECK, 55, was born Nov. 5, 1909, in Jefferson county. She was born on a farm northeast of Lockridge, the daughter of Ernest and Lena KLEMITSON GIESE.

She was reared and educated in the Four Corners and Lockridge community, attending schools there. She graduated from the Fairfield high school.

On Oct. 29, 1928, she was united in marriage to Thomas PECK who preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 1960. Mrs. PECK was a member of the Lutheran church and the family home is at 303 E. Kirkwood.

She is survived by two sons, Harold PECK, Fairfield; and Orville PECK, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Tom SMITH, Fairfield; four grandsons; her mother, Mrs. Ernest GIESE, Lockridge; one brother, Karl GIESE, Lockridge; and one sister, Mrs. Frank DAVIS, Keosauqua.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.
