Frank McCORMICK, native of Jefferson county and prominent farmer in the community, passed away this morning at 4:20 a.m. at his farm home about three miles east of Fairfield. He suffered a stroke last Thursday morning at his home and never recovered.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home in charge of Rev. Ronald Jennings and Rev. John Porath, Winfield. Rev. Porath was circuit preacher of the Bethesda church several years ago. Burial will be in Bethesda cemetery.
Mr. McCORMICK was born May 24, 1865 in Jefferson county. He married Minnie DAVIS, December 17, 1895. He lived in Jefferson county all his life and was a well known and successful farmer, and was a member of the Bethesda church.
Besides his wife, Mr. McCORMICK is survived by three children, Mahlon and Clarence, both of near Fairfield; and Mrs. Roy BURNETT, Libertyville. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Ella WHITHAM, Mrs. Pearl GREEN and Mrs. Cora McCLAIN, all of Fairfield; and nine grandchildren. Two grandchildren preceded him in death.
