DEATH TAKES LOCAL WOMAN

Lydia Wilson LOTRIDGE, 84, resident of Fairfield for 38 years, passed away about 10:45 p.m. last night at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been a patient since October 15, 1947. She fell and broke her hip at that time and never recovered. Her condition became worse last Monday.

Last rites will be Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. C. R. Douglass in charge. Burial will be in Union cemetery near Parsonville.

Lydia Wilson LOTRIDGE was born March 12, 1864, in New York, the daughter of Charles and Thalia HOWARD LOTRIDGE. She came to Trenton, Iowa, in 1878, then moved to Beckwith. Thirty eight years ago she moved to Fairfield where she had made her home since. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Her parents and a twin brother, Charles, preceded her in death. Several cousins survive.
