JERRY JOHNSON, 8, DIES TODAY

Jerry Dean JOHNSON, eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph JOHNSON, 807 South Second street, passed away at the Jefferson county hospital shortly after noon today. He had entered there as a patient about 9:00 a.m. this morning.

The child died from purpura, a blood stream infection which followed an attack of influenza two weeks ago.

Jerry Dean was a student in the third grade at Logan school. He is survived by his parents and two brothers, Keith and Leonard.

The body was taken to the Hoskins funeral home where last rites are pending.
