Mrs. Leonard R. HISEL, 56, 300 W. Washington died Monday afternoon at the Jefferson County hospital.
Mrs. HISEL was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Al SPORKMAN, near West Point for Mothers Day. She suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital Sunday evening.
She was born July 28, 1901 in Jefferson county, the daughter of Samuel and Rosa CALDWELL RUSSELL.
She was married to Leonard R. HISEL on Sept. 8, 1920 in Fairfield. Mrs. HISEL was a member of the First Baptist church.
Funeral services will be at the Weston Behner funeral home at 2 p.m Wednesday. The Rev. George Meyers will have the services with interment in Evergreen cemetery.
She is survived by her husband Leonard R. HISEL; two daughters, Mrs. Al SPORKMAN, West Point, and Mrs. R. W. BROWN, Fairfield; her mother, Mrs. Rosa RUSSELL, Fairfield and four grandchildren.
Three brothers, Gilbert RUSSELL, Cedar Rapids, George RUSSELL, Minneapolis, Minn. and Gaylord RUSSELL, Fairfield, also survive.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
