HOLLIS Funeral Will Be Friday

Funeral services for Albert HOLLIS, former Fairfield resident, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home. HOLLIS, 58, died suddenly last Thursday in Kingsburg, Calif., where he was employed on a weekly newspaper.

HOLLIS was born Sept. 11, 1895 in Mt. Pleasant and had been a resident of Fairfield for more than 20 years before moving to California in 1950. A printer by trade, he was employed by the Tribune Printing Co. and later The Fairfield Ledger.

Survivors include his wife and two sons, George HOLLIS, Fairfield, and William HOLLIS, serving in the U. S. army at Lawton, Okla. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion. Military rites will be conducted in Evergreen cemetery by the local American Legion post.

The body is scheduled to arrive in Fairfield Wednesday night.

Note: Albert’s wife was Mollie B. (maiden name unknown at this time), who died February 15, 1982, in Tacoma, WA. She was cremated and returned to Fairfield for burial beside her husband in Evergreen Cemetery, Lot 2nd.018.
