MRS. WM. BYER DIED YESTERDAY
Funeral Tomorrow Afternoon At 1:30 From Home East of the City

Mrs. William BYER, who underwent a very serious operation at her home four miles east of the city last Saturday, died last evening at 5 oclock (sic). The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 oclock (sic) from the home in charge of Rev. H. E. Butler and interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. BYER was formerly Miss Cinderella Letitia BRIER and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William BRIER. She was born near Salina, Nov. 19, 1870 and her entire life has been spent in Jefferson county. She was married Feb. 2, 1896 to William BYER and to them was born one daughter Miss Grace. She is survived by her sister, Miss Dona BRIER of this city and the husband and daughter.

Mrs. William BYER Funeral Held Yesterday Afternoon

The funeral services for Mrs. William BYER, who died Wednesday evening at her home 4 miles east of the city, were held yesterday afternoon at 1:30 oclock from the home in charge of Rev. E. A. Butler and interment took place in Evergreen cemeery.

Miss Elsie Green, Mrs. Harley Ain, Fred Messer and Frank McCormick sang the songs, "Does Jesus Care" and "Nearer My god To Thee." Many beautiful floral pieces silently testified to the esteem in which Mrs. BYER was held. The pallbearers were William Werner, John Keller, Ed Pequignot, Frank McCormick, Elmer Davis and Fred Messer.
