Frank L. WHITHAM of Fairfield died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Frank LeRoy WHITHAM

Frank LeRoy WHITHAM, 99, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Hospice Compassus. Memorials and cards may be sent to 52 E. Madison Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. WHITHAM was born April 28, 1911, in Fairfield, the son of Roy and Bertha McGREW WHITHAM. He married Lary Louise NEISWANGER Feb. 5, 1939, at First Methodist Church in Fairfield. She died June 4, 1998. He then married Wilma LEWIS April 28, 2005, at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield.

Mr. WHITHAM graduated from Fairfield High School in 1930. He farmed in Jefferson, Wapello and Henry counties and raised pure breed polled Hereford cattle.

Mr. WHITHAM was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two stepdaughters: Diane LEWIS and husband Randy THOMAS of Midlothian, Va., and JoAnn LEWIS of Ashland, Ore.; three stepgrandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and one sister: Lucille KEPFORD of Indianola.

In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Charles, Roll and Theodore WHITHAM; and three sisters: Grace, May and Hazel WHITHAM.
