Paulena M. WATSON, 75, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, in Mount Pleasant.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. John Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Salem South Cemetery (note - Henry County, IA).
Visitation began at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6-7 p.m.

Mrs. WATSON was born Aug. 25, 1935, in Iowa City, the daughter of Franklin Donald and Roseanna Emma DVORAK. She married Roswell WIXOM June 28, 1952, in Iowa City. They later divorced. She married Ted WATSON July 2, 1985, in Kahoka, Mo. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. WATSON was a waitress and cook at area restaurants.
Survivors include five children: Peggy COX of Davenport, Mary RUSSELL of Mount Pleasant, Bill WIXOM of Salem, Pauline WAGNER of Mount Pleasant and Teddy WATSON of Mount Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Jim THOMAS of Moline, Ill., Walt THOMAS of Cuba, Ill., and Carl THOMAS of Mount Pleasant; and two sisters: Sandy GILES of Davenport and Jeanette JENNINGS of Washington.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Bob, Terry and Gene.
