Alan Bruce NORTH

Alan Bruce NORTH, 52, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Wotherspoon officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Cards and memorials may be sent to Michelle NORTH, 200 N. 28th St., Lot 90, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. NORTH was born Aug. 3, 1958, in Keosauqua, the son of Buddy and Neva ROBERTS NORTH. He married Michelle POGODZINSKI Sept. 20, 2005, in Ottumwa.

Mr. NORTH had worked as a machinist at John Deere for 20 years.

He liked trains and NASCAR and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his parents; his wife; three children: Angela NORTH of Iowa City, Ryan NORTH of Ames and Amber HEINTZ and husband Jon of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif.; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
