MRS. McCORMICK PASSED AWAY AT NOON TODAY

Life long Jefferson county resident dies after long illness

Mrs. Glenn McCORMICK, 49, of five miles east of Fairfield, who has resided in the county her entire life passed away today at 12:24 noon (sic) at the Jefferson county hospital where she had been critically ill the past week.

Funeral services iwll (sic) be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Hoskins funeral home. Further details have not as yet been announced.

Mrs. McCORMICK who had been in ill health for many years was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard NELSON of Parsonsville. She was born in Parsonsville forty-nine years ago last Sunday and spent her entire life in this county. She was graduated from the Fairfield high school with the class of 1908, later teaching in the Jefferson county schools before her marriage to Glenn McCORMICK. They have resided on their present farm for the past twenty-five years.

She was one of the most faithful members of the Bethesda Methodist church and its activities.

Beside her husband and one child Miss Olive McCORMICK of Ottumwa, she is survived by three brothers Dan and Grant NELSON of Fairfield and Fred NELSON of near Lucas; and two sisters Mrs. Henry SWANSON of Fairfield and Miss Iowa NELSON in Indianapolis, Ind.
