Life long resident of Jefferson countyPercy Chase HISEL, 70, of 1000 South Main, Fairfield, died at his residence Thursday at 9:30 p.m. following an extended illness. He was born in Jefferson county on Oct. 1, 1871 and had been a life-long county resident.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. May KERRICK of Amarillo, Texas, and Mrs. Edna GALBRAITH of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a brother, J. HISEL of Fairfield.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Murray funeral home, Fairfield.

Funeral services for Percy Chase HISEL, who passed away Thursday will be held at the Murray funeral home Monday afternoon, Jan. 12 at 2:00 p.m. Services will be in charge of Rev. Ireland and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Notice is hereby given that an instrument, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Percy C. HISEL, Deceased, is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Jefferson County, and that Monday, February 9th A. D. 1942 at 9:30 o'clock A. M. has been set for proof and final hearing of same.

Percy Chase HISEL passed away at his home in Fairfield, Iowa, January 8, 1942 after an extended illness caused by a fall many years ago. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John HISEL and was born in Jefferson county on Oct. 1, 1871. Mr. HISEL attended the schools of the county and later went to the C. C. C. college in Des Moines, Iowa. After completing a business course there he worked in the office of Pease Brothers Coal and Grain Co. While in Des Moines he was initiated an Odd Fellow September 14, 1893 having been in the first class of initiates of a newly instituted subordinate, Center Star Lodge where his membership always remained.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Murray funeral home conducted by Rev. W. B. Ireland. Lodge I. O. O. F. No. 4 were in charge at the grave. Casket attendants were from the same lodge. Mr. HISEL is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Edna GALBRAITH of Los Angeles, California and Mrs. May KERRICK, Amarillo, Texas and one brother Jay HISEL of Fairfield.
