Mrs. CLAPP Rites Planned Saturday

Last rites for Mrs. Charles CLAPP, 86, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of Dr. J. Henry Teele. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. CLAPP died Wednesday at her home at 201 E. Hempstead St. after several years of failing health.

Mrs. CLAPP was born March 14, 1870, at Winchester, the daughter of Charles and Mary TANSEY RUSSELL. She was married to Charles H. CLAPP March 14, 1891 in Chadron, Neb. They lived on a farm in Jefferson county and moved to Fairfield in 1919.

Surviving are her husband and daughter, Mrs. Glenn E. SHAFER, Fairfield. Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mabel CASTELL, Whittier, Calif.; and a brother, Bruce RUSSELL, Los Angeles, Calif., also survive. Two daughters, two sisters and three brothers are deceased.

Mrs. CLAPP was a member of the First Methodist church and the following organizations: Fairfield Rebekah Lodge No. 96, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Union Veterans and the Golden Wedding club.
