RUTH ELLIOTT DIES SUDDENLY OF PNEUMONIA

Funeral Services will Be Held Tomorrow At M. E. Church

Miss Ruth ELLIOTT, daughter of Dr. John W. and Emma ELLIOTT, passed away this morning at the Jefferson county Hospital after a brief illness of pneumonia.

Miss ELLIOTT was born in Lincoln, Ind., Nov. 10, 1903. Following the death of her father, she moved to Fairfield with her mother in 1923. Her mother preceded her in death on March 26, 1928. Miss ELLIOTT continued to make her home at 200 East Briggs street.

The funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 22nd, at the First Methodist church at 2:00 p.m., in charge of Dr. U. S. Smith. The Order of Eastern Star will also assist in the services. The body was taken to the Hoskins Funeral home, where it will remain until 1:00 p.m. Thursday. The burial will be in Logansport, Ind.

Miss ELLIOTT, who took active part in the activities of the First Methodist church here, and who was known for her beautiful Christian character, was a faithful member of the Philathea Sunday school class. She will be greatly missed in the church, and she leaves a large number of friends who mourn her untimely passing.

Miss ELLIOTT was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and the D.A.R.

She was graduated from the Crawfordsville, Ind., High school in 1922, and from Parsons college in 1927, later she was given a degree from the University of Illinois, in 1930. Following her graduation from the University of Illinois she was assistant librarian at Parsons college.

Aside from a large circle of friends in Fairfield, she is survived by an uncle J. M. HORN, of Fairfield, and two cousins, Ralph HORN of Davenport, and Mrs. Kenneth BARR of Valparaiso, Ind. She also leaves a number of relatives in Indiana.
