MISS DUVALL PASSED AWAY

Taken to hospital this morning with heart attack

Miss Mary Adella DuVALL, 74, 103 W. Adams St., passed away this noon at 12:25, December 9, at the Jefferson county hospital. She had fallen at her home at 7:45 a.m. suffering from a heart attack. She was taken to the Jefferson county hospital where she passed away following a succession of attacks.

The death came as a decided shock as she had been in her usual health. The body was taken to the Murray Funeral home pending funeral arrangements.

She is survived by one brother, S. E. DuVALL, 303 N. B street, and numerous other relatives.

Funeral Services Held for Miss DuVALL Today

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:00 o’clock (sic) for Miss Mary Adella DuVALL at the Murray Funeral Home. Burial was in Ottumwa.

Rev. William R. Yingling of the local Presbyterian church was in charge. Miss Iva Scheffel played before and after the services.

Note: She was the daughter of Alias DuVALL and Elizabeth FINNEY DuVALL. Her death record stated burial was in “Ottumwa Cem.”
