Kim Ann SCHLARBAUM KRIVA

At age 56, Kim passed too soon, peacefully, on Jan. 4, 2011, with her husband at her side, due to complications of pulmonary fibrosis and a lung transplant. Married 32 years to James, and the loving mother of Christopher and Molly KRIVA. Kim is survived by her father, Phillip, sister Allison and brother, Steven (Sue). Further survived by parents-in-law Dorothy and Jerry, brothers, sisters-in-law Robert (Lori), Ken (Mary Kay) and Richard (Sally), her nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her mother Donna, her daughter Jordan, and her beloved aunt Rosie, whom (sic) helped guide Kim's journey.

The family will celebrate a private Funeral Mass for Kim at St. Mary Catholic Faith Community in Hales Corners. Memorial Gathering was Monday Jan. 10, at the Funeral Home from 4:30-7:00 p.m.

Resilience and uncommon kindness characterized Kim's life and shape the memories of her family and all those who held Kim close. She was a voracious reader who enjoyed crossword puzzles and needlepoint, activities that reflected her gentle nature. She remembered fondly her childhood in Iowa before moving to Wisconsin. Kim attended Fond du Lac Goodrich High School, and graduated from Drake University Pharmacy School in Des Moines, Iowa. She practiced her profession of Registered Pharmacist before devoting her time to raising her two children. Kim was active in local needlepoint societies, she volunteered at area libraries, and tutored students in math and science, her primary academic interests. She freely shared her love through these endeavors.

Memorials to the Fairfield Library in Kim's memory are suggested by the family.

Kim's gentle spirit will be missed, greatly.
