"DIED - On the 2d of November at the residence of his mother, four miles west of Pleasant Plain, George Hibbs. . . . .His father, Valentine Hibbs, was taken away about three months before, by an accident with a reaper. He was thrown from his seat and had his leg broken. It was amputated and he died from the effects of it."
