"Little Della Mabel Griffith, 3 1/2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Griffith Jr. of Fairfield, died at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Walton, west of town, Tues. Feb 23 of diphtheria. . . . .Bur. Pleasant Plain."
NOTE: Tombstone shows Zella Mabel Griffith while news article shows Della.
