"Robert W. Griffith, born Sussex Co., Del., Sept 22 1804. . . . .died at his home four miles west of town Mon. morning. On Dec 27 1832 he married Miss Eleanor Long, who survives. Also leaves 12 children. . . . .one is Isabel, wife of T. A. Whitacre. . . . .Bur. Brighton Cemetery."
