Mildred Lorene PARKS

Mildred Lorene PARKS, 96, died Jan. 12, 2011, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating.

Visitation will follow the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Fairfield Public Library. Cards and memorials may be sent to Karen Pierson, 4301 Lawn Ave., Western Springs, IL 60558.

Mrs. PARKS was born Jan. 1, 1915, the daughter of Raymond and Sylvia BRUDERS AIN. She married Clifford HANDY June 29, 1935. He died Feb. 23, 1964. She married Wahl PARKS Oct. 2, 1967. He died Feb. 23, 2007.

Mrs. PARKS liked to bake, read, do crossword puzzles, play bridge, sew, bird watch and spend time with her family.

Survivors include one daughter: Karen PIERSON of Western Springs, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard AIN.
