Daisy Mae McINTIRE

Daisy Mae McINTIRE, 99, of Fairfield, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 12, 2011, at SunnyBrook Assisted Living in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established to First Christian Church.

Mrs. McINTIRE was born June 27, 1911, near Ollie, the daughter of Orville and Cora FYE PICKERING. She married Robert Wesley McINTIRE Feb. 1, 1935, in Lancaster, Mo. He died March 16, 1963.

Mrs. McINTIRE grew up in the Pekin, Linby and Rock Creek area. She attended Prairie Home grade school and graduated from Ollie High School in 1928. She lived in Fairfield her entire married life. Mrs. McINTIRE was a seamstress dressmaker and made many wedding and bride's maids' dresses. She later worked in the salad kitchen at Stever House Restaurant for 12 years.

Mrs. McINTIRE was a member of First Christian Church and Hannah Ruth Circle. She was a former member of the Keep Young Club.

Survivors include four children: Roberta KINNAMON and husband Larry of Sun Lakes, Ariz., Gary McINTIRE and wife Kathy and Larry McINTIRE and wife Linda, all of Fairfield, and Loretta RICHNER and husband Jack of Goshen, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings: William, Edward, Maggie CHACEY, Blanche WOODARD, Edith HALL, Lois SYFERT and Ruth in infancy.
