Lena L. LIPPS

BATAVIA.--Miss Lena L. LIPPS, 70, of Batavia, died unexpectedly this morning at 5 a.m. at the home of Mrs. Euna Veach. She had made her home with her brother, Lewis LIPPS for the past several years.

Miss LIPPS had spent most of her life in New York City where she worked in the music profession under the stage name of Mariam CRAWFORD.

She was born Oct. 2, 1884, in Whitley County, Indiana, the daughter of James P. and Clementine ATHEY LIPPS. She was a member of the Church of Christ Scientist.

Survivors include a brother, Lewis of Batavia.

The body is at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia.

LIPPS Funeral
BATAVIA.--The funeral for Mariam CRAWFORD LIPPS, 79, who died Tuesday morning, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Chapel. Mrs. John Lowenberg, Christian Science reader, will be in charge. Cremation will follow.
