Oscar A. EASTON Funeral Monday

Oscar A. EASTON, 92, longtime resident of Fairfield and a retired businessman, died at 5:10 p.m. Friday at the Park View Care Center at the east edge of Farifield where he had been a patient for many months.

EASTON was the last charter member of B.P.O. Elks 1192. He received birthday greetings from President and Mrs. Richard Nixon on EASTON's 92nd birthday March 22 this year.

Last rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Berg officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Oscar A. EASTON was born March 23, 1880, in Fairbury, Ill., son of Alexander and Jennie Travis JOHNSON EASTON. He was married to Emily CARLSON Aug. 21, 1909, at Ottumwa. She died Oct. 5, 1963.

He joined Ed DuVall as partner in the Fairfield Laundry in 1906. He remained with the firm until his retirement in 1955. EASTON was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles McCLAIN (sic. Marjorie EASTON McCLAIN), Fairfield; one son, Robert EASTON, Reno, Nevada; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
